THE CHORUS
   This year the chorus had been reorganized under the direction of Mr. Lawrence Shorer. The chorus has played an important part in many of the school assembly programs. They gave a Christmas program and" a concert in conjunction with the band. The chorus is composed of 45 voices.

THE GIRLS' GLEE CLUB
    The Girls' Glee Club is composed of approximately thirty girls, most of whom are Freshmen. The girls sang on many occasions such as the Thanksgiving program, radio programs, club meetings, joint Band ·and Vocal Department concerts, Christmas programs, Easter program and commencement exercises.

W. W. H. S. GIRLS' SEXTETTE

   The Girls' Sextette of Woodrow Wilson High School composed of Virginia Williams and Betty Stephenson, first sopranos; Jackie Carmines and Mera Gay, second sopranos; Meredith Stewart and Caroline Harmon, altos; reorganized and started their rehearsals In Septem ber 1947.
   Since then, aided by their accompanist, Dolly Rutherford, they have participated in various programs and entertainment in the school and community.

   Quill and Scroll is an honorary society for high school journalists. Its requirements for membership are:
1. Members must be of at least Junior standing.
2. They must have done superior work in some phase of journalism, or creative endeavor.
3. They must be in the upper third of their class in scholastic standing.
4. They must be recommended by the advisers governing publications.
5, They must be approved
by the National Executive Secretary.
