They Provide Services . . .
Behind our local educational system is the Portsmouth School
Board, which has always directed and inspired all our schools to do
their best work.
We, in the high school, feel that the board members have con-tributed to any success we enjoy through their wise selection of faculty members.
Our school board has always been sincerely interested in our
welfare, and has left nothing undone to make our school life more
attractive and worthwhile.

. . . and Leadership
At the head of our school is a guiding light, Mr, Robert L. Sweeney. His understanding manner has enabled students to solve their personal as well as educational problems.
He has never been too tired or busy to hear our problems. His
influence all through high school has done much in helping us to mold high standards for life. His keen judgment and understanding have inspired our respect and confidence. He has really been a friend of all students; a friend who will always remain in our hearts.
