WALTER T. H. GALLIFORD
Assistant Principal
Mr. Walter T. H. Galliford has been elevated to the position of principal of Harry Hunt Junior igh School for the 1966-67 school year. During is 15 years at Woodrow Wilson Mr. Galliford
as served in a variety of capactities. He was a classroom teacher in the History Department from 1951 to 1958. During these same years he was also the varsity track coach, and from 1953 to 1958 he took on add-itional duties as junior varsity and assistant varsity football coach.
When Dr. Allen became principal in 1958, Mr. Galliford was named assis-tant principal. For the past two years he has also served as Director of Athletics.

DR. ROBERT W. ALLEN
Principal
Dr. R. W. Allen resigned from his position as principal of Woodrow Wilson High School on June 30, 1966, to become superintendent of
schools for the Charlottesville Edu-cational Foundation in Char-lottesville, Virginia. He served the Portsmouth system for 18 years,
coming here in 1947 to take over as principal of Briggs and Green Street schools. After three years he was promoted to assistant principal at
Woodrow Wilson, and held this position for eight years. When Mr. R. L. Sweeney retired in 1958, Dr. Allen took over as principal.
