Woodrow Wilson High School . . . a school rich in tradition . . . Presidential Territory . . . 1993-1994 held a new challenge for this great school. Where did one look to find such splendor? The answer was simple: it was everywhere. It was in the classrooms, the hallways, the school cafeteria, and on the football field. The 1993-1994 school year container many magical moments.
It began on the first day of school --- September 7th. The Portsmouth School Board made the decision to close the "original" Wilson High School and rename Manor High School, Wilson. Of course this decision created uncertainty among members of the faculty and student body. Fortunately, the first day of school brought a sigh of relief when students realized that many of their friends were in the same classes or lunch period. As a matter of fact, the old saying, "the more, the merrier" proved true. All the former Cradock Admirals, Manor Mustangs, and Wilson Presidents harmonized nicely. New friendships were formed that will last a lifetime.
