The Boys' Monogram Club of Wilson consists of athletes who have won letters in the four major sports at Wilson. They -are football, basketball, track, and baseball.
Initations are held during the middle of basketball season, for boys who have won letters during the term. The initations are one of the main even ts during the school term. New monogram winners wear matched socks, wear their shirt backwards, and can't talk to girls during the initations.
Among other things, the Monogram Club sponsors the annual Posture Campaign with their slogan being "Posture Expresses Personality."
Advisers of the club are Coaches Phess Woodson, Howard Mast, Ernie Wild and Andy Landis.

The Girls' Monogram and Officials' Club has two purposes: First, to encourage athletics among girls of Wilson ; second, to provide officials for the games of the intramural sports program. This year ten girls entered the club on "W's" and four as officials.
"Buy a program! Thank you!" was a familiar sound during football season for the members. With the money earned, pins and jackets were ordered.
In May of this year, the club wa invited to Maury for "Play Day."

The aim of the Dramatic Club is to bring superior productions of outstanding plays, not only to the students and teachers of Wilson, but also to the people of Portsmouth.
Tryouts for students interested and experienced in the field of drama are held early in the fall.
The club is divided into four groups with each group responsible for the program for two meetings a year.
Due to the lack of proper facilities our activities have been curtailed, but pending the completion of our auditorium we plan to enter a one-act play contest in February and possibly a three-act play in the spring.
