   The Softball Team struggled to put things together this year. Their record  1-8 is no indication of the talent that was the major factor, but with their determination it should not be a problem in the future.

   This was a rebuilding year for the varsity 
team. The team showed promise during the pre-season with a 3-0 start but struggled during the district games because of the lack of depth at key positions. The teams overall record was 4-11.

Although the team did not have a winning season, many of the players were competitive on an individual basis. The most valuable player, Eric Wright, led the team, winning four of his matches. Montaque Williams also made noticeable contributions.

   The undefeated Girl's Track Team finished with a 4-0 win. They captured the city title and placed 2nd in the district. Angela Hines, Spring Female Athlete, ranked first in the district and traveled to the state for the 100 meter and 200 meter. Other outstanding teammates included Venezia Burney, El 
Gee, and Tracey Eaton.
