WINNING
SEASON
DESPITE SLOW
START
Van Edwards helps Raymond “Squeek’” Pollard to his feet.
The varsity basketball team finished fifth in the Southeastern District despite a late starting practice due to the extended football season. The Presidents ended their season with a 10-8 overall record and 8-7 within the district. Coach Larry Harvey felt that the team did well con-sidering the slow start, and the fact that eight newcomers were on the squad, making it a year for rebuilding.
