With the snow storm of ‘96’ followed by other days of ice and snow, practices were canceled as well as meets. Of the four meets during indoor track which is run outdoors, we attended two. Given the weather conditions, the girls faired well.
The girls 4x200 relay team placed 3rd in the district meet. The team consisted of Jenita Harris, Tashame Alston, Kath- rine Riddick and Aimee Helm. Chamae Barringer placed 5th in the triple jump and Jenita Harris placed 3rd in the 55 meter hurdles. Jenita also placed 5th in the Regional meet in the 55 meter hur-dles. This qualified her for the State meet held in Fairfax, VA at George Ma-son University. Congratulations to a job well done girls.
