V. Presidents Look
The Wilson Varsity Football team played at a very high inten- sity level throughout the season. Their record of 0 wins and 10 losses does not show the poten- tial the team has. With only five seniors, the sky is the limit for the
young team. Sophomore Kavonzo Beamon and Junior Rahn Sykes are key ingredients to the Presidents future. Coach Joe Ladistic will have the team prepared in the coming seasons.

Boys Track Team
The 1995-96 boys’ track team had a great season. Some of the highlights included winning the district title in the 1600 meter run and placing third in the dis- trict in the 3200 meter run. Both of these events were won by Kenya Edwards, a senior. He also finished second in the re- gion in the 1600 meter run. At the time of printing the track team will be participated in the state track meet in Fairfax. The team was coached by Mr. David
Littlefield.

The girls had a good season with a lot of athletic young ladies to build for the future. The girls finished a strong 3rd in the district after Coach Smith took over the team. The team is loaded with talent, with 3 freshmen, 2 sopho-mores, 2 juniors and 2 seniors.
We have a strong nucleus of returning young ladies and the coach expects good things from them in the future. The lady presidents were led by two All-District runners. They were Jenita Harris and Yael Lewis. Lewis will return and so will Chamae Barringer, Brandy Upton, and Talia Roulhac, to be All-District per-formers next year.

Boys Cross Country
The Boy's Cross Country Team Had a successful season. The boys fin-ished the season with 5 wins and 3 losses for the regular season. This team seems to progress each year. This team finished 3rd in the district after finishing 4th the previous two seasons, and 5th the 1st year Coach Smith took over. The presidents also qualified for the regionals for the 3rd straight year. We had two young men that were All-District Runners: Perez Bottoms and Kenya Edwards. Kenya also finished 15th in the regional and qualified for the state meet where he placed 10th.
