The girls track team had a record of 5-2.  They took second in the city track meet and forth in the District.  Nine girls completed in the regional and two went to state.  Regina Hawkins won MVP Award and she set three records, in the high jump, long jump, and 100m dash.  Elsie Hill set a new record in the 800m dash.
   Althougbh the boys track team had a disappointing season of 0-7, there were some outstanding individual highlights.  Kevin Jordon was an outstanding hurdler for the Presidents, and Ricky Watson threw the discus.  The most outstanding performer of the season was Daniel Kelly, he took 2nd in the regional, 2nd in state, and went all the way to the National track meet in Atlanta Georgia where he took first.

BATTER UP
VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM
   The Varsity Baseball Team had a disappointing 5 and 8 season this year, however, there are some fine individual play.  Senior Glen Pizzanello was named to the All District Team for his excellent play in center field.  Other Seniors, Kenny Mathews, Reggie Riddick, Billy Thompson, and Lannie White all turned in good team efforts.

   The Softball team had a winning season with a 60-3 District and 11-4 overall record.  They finished third in District and gave first place Great Bridge their only defeat with an 18-4 upset.
