Coach Hopkins say, "My ball is out there somewhere.
Relying on Coach Hopkins Blazer for transportation isn't always the best idea.
   Coach Hopkins was delighted to say that his 7 member team was the largest he ever had.  Also 6 members were sophomores so the outlook looks good for years to come.
They finished with a 4-8 record, with Chris Gardner qualifying for the Regionals.

This year J.V. season ended on a winning note.  The only dual match lost this season was to Lake Taylor, which is not in the southeastern district.  This years captains for the team were returning wrestlers Bo Jamison and Brad Montague.  The team voted MVP, and picked Ricky Perrault.  This year there was a J.V. district tournament, in which 6 players placed.
J.V. Coach was Mr. Midgett, who thought that the season turned out  to be very rewarding one for the team and himself.  He also hopes to see many of the players to return and even advance to Varsity.

To defeat Western Branch 1-0 was the biggest victory in the history here at Wilson.  Seven freshmen made up the bulk of the team and did a very good through-out the season.
   With an overall record of 7-3-1 and a district record of 5-2-1 the team achieved a successful winning season.

   The Varsity Baseball squad started off district competition with an uproar.  They began 3-0 but finished with a 4-5 record and a 5-8 over all record.
   "I felt we could have done much better, but the cards were delt against us in severa key stuations throughout the course of the season." stated coach Ray McGinley
