Cheerleaders make pep signs to promote school spirit.
Each year our cheerleading squad works hard to promote 0school spirit and unity among the students at Wilson. The cheerleaders were involved in many activities including pep rallies, athletic games, and Victory dances. Practice for the
squad was virtually continuous from June throughout the entire school year.
This past summer, the Wilson cheerleaders hosted the Annual  Varsity Review, where all the varsity cheerleaders in the Southeastern District met, exchanged cheers, and chose the best cheering squad. This idea was originated by Mrs. Sweet,
advisor of Wilson's cheering squad. Even more than all this, the cheer-leaders made signs for the halls and games, planned pep rallies, and made favors to encourage our athletic teams.

Cheerleaders build spirit for our J.V. football team.
The Junior Varsity cheerleaders, sponsored by Mrs. Maria Hudgins, have had a great year cheering for the J.V. athletic teams and cheering in the stands at the Varsity games. Besides yelling and screaming at football, wrestling, basketball, and baseball games, our J.V. cheerleaders sold game programs and homecoming flowers to earn money.
All year the J.V. cheerleading squad worked hard to develop Wilson's spirit in its Junior Varsity athletics.
