  The Southeastern District Championship
team did an outstanding job. After los- ing four starters off of last years' team that was 17 and 5, it was expected that this was to be a rebuilding year. Several players stepped into the vacated positions and played outstandingly. Arthur "Moose” Jones, the only returning starter had the kind of year that was expected of him. Greg Wright, Larry Stewart, Stanley Hall, and Mike Baze- more all played well. The acquisition of Arthur Bryant, at Mid-Year, added tremendously to the team's success. Also adding depth and a lot of hard work were Tim Madden, Marvin Cherry, Don Manzione, Daryl Howell, Joe Goosby, and Willie Watson.
A lot of concentration goes into the bench work.

something to be proud of. Four girls were sent to the state meet at the University of Richmond. Outstanding trackwomen
