Varsity Wrestlers Have A Rebuilding Season
The Wilson matmen opened the season in
full force as they fought an exciting match with Frederick Military Academy, coming away with a one point victory. However,  the team, plagued with injuries and a lack of numbers, did not bring home another win.
Standouts for the wrestling team were Ire- wood Smith (6-4-0); Andre Booker (10-1-0): Michael Folston (9-1-1); and Wayne Bashay (3-1-0), who was forced by injury to discontinue wrestling.
Although the regular season was a disap-pointment, the Southeastern District Tour- nament was a slightly different story, as five Wilson wrestlers were ranked in the standings. Andre Booker won a second place at 105, Irewood Smith was ranked  fourth at 98, and fifth place winners were Wade Shepard, James Clanton, and Eugene
Parson.

Cross Country Then And Now!
This year's team opened up the season with a two
point loss to Deep Creek, which was to establish a pattern for the year. With only one victory to its credit, the team never gave up and it worked hard every day. This team had some young runners, who will return next year to better the record.

For the 1975 Golf season the Presidents' record was two wins and seven losses. Considering the fact that this was the first year Wilson had won a golf match in a good while, the record showed improve-ment.
Tim Chrisman was the low scorer on the team, averaging in the low 90 's for the year. Mark Regula, Robert McPherson, Richard Coley, Steve  Pearson and Eric Forbes made up the remainder of the team. Our home  course was Sleepy Hole with other matches being played at City Park  and Chesapeake Manor.

Baseball Team
Trackmen Place Fourth In Southeastern District
The 1975 Varsity Tennis Team was beset with many problems. The team had only three returning players from
the previous year, which left three important singles positions plus doubles to be filled. Due to a lack of participants in this sport these positions had to be filled by players who lacked the basic skills necessary to win. The team also lacked a strong, guiding hand and did not seem to have the competitive spirit that is so important for a successful season.
The 1976 team had four returning lettermen, with four new members. The new coach, Mr. Reel, put them
through many gruelling drills on the practice court in preparation for the '76 season.

The 1975 track season was impressive with a 5-2-0
record. Led by only six returning lettermen, Wil-son placed second in the City meet and fourth in the District. Arthur Jones won the outstanding
trackman award.
