   When we think of social studies, we think of American history, American government, world geography, and world history, sociology, economics, and humanities.  Actually, the members of the social studies department are dedicated to the task of helping students to understand the world around them.

   The Health and Physical Education Department is de-signed to enable the student to recoginize the importance of good health, to improve sports skills, and learn the meaning of good sportsmanship.
   The members of the de-partment were pleased to have a beautiful refurbished gym floor to start the 1983-84 school term and to welcome Mr. John Ballein to the department and coach-ing staff.

   The business department, under the direction of Mrs. Ferebee, offers classes that cover basic and advanced practice in a variety of office procedures.  The courses are designed to help one survive in the competing marketing world.

   Industrial Arts opens the students awareness to the industrial world.  It lets a student know what is expected of him or her such as making deadlines, or work quotas.   It prepares a student for jobs in different areas.
