 The Home Economics Department provides a wide variety of offer-ings to all students at Wilson High so that they may develop those homemaking skills necessary to the acceptance of respective home responsibilities. The department emphasizes the importance of proper food, shelter, clothing, child-care, health, home care for the sick, money management, cosumer awareness, and family relation-ship.

 Through the creativetalents of the art staff, great hopes for a product-ive year are anticipated.  Mr. Bystrom shares his time this year between Norcom and Wilson but fells confident that Mrs. Sweet and Mr. Williams can manage for half a day without him.  ?Routinely students from Wilson do very well at shows around the area and this year should be no exception.

 The goals of the Music Department at Wilson are, to continue to strive for musical excellence, and to represent the school, community, and the city of Portsmouth. Future plans for the Music Department include working with oganizations within the school and through out the city; and to the increasing number of students in the band and the total music program at Wilson.

 The objectives of the Guidance Dept. are to hep students gain a better understanding of themselves by assesing educational information, setting constructive, realistic, and personally satisfying goals, an to provide information to help students achieve their goals.
